K Y Y O T E jewelry pieces are made from a variety of salvaged and recycled exotic woods (including cocobolo, ebony, black and white ebony, snakewood, kingwood, padauk, purpleheart, among others) and vintage plastics (including bakelite, lucite, acrylic and resin) along with handmade sterling silver components, chain, and organic and humanely harvested feathers (including emu, pheasant, and partridge).

Amanda seeks out and develops relationships with small, domestic, independently owned companies who supply the gorgeous bits and pieces that construct the K Y Y O T E line. Each component is hand selected for its individual characteristics, and due to the nature of the materials, no two will be exactly alike.

An all-natural and non-toxic hand-rubbed linseed oil finish is used to seal and protect any wood in the piece. This particular finish not only provides an excellent protective seal, but enhances the natural grain and beauty of the wood as well. A further benefit of the finish is that it is environmentally safe, and has been deemed food safe by the FDA in both its wet and dry states.
